ALL ABOUT A SIMPLE MEANDERING
A Simple Meandering is a Not For Profit Organisation that exists to encourage thoughtful living and social change. Our purpose is two fold with the hope of bringing change in both Western and Third World Countries.
We stand for simple, intentional and conscience living; in finding the perfect balance of having not too much, not too little but 'just enough' in all things.
On the home front, we believe this means cultivating a warm yet humble dwelling that grows contentment and inspires creativity. Photography has the rare gift of being able to transport you to another time or place and of speaking to your very soul. With this in mind, we have curated a range of meaningful photographic art. Each of our wall prints is paired with a simple thought reflected in its visual aesthetics; little reminders for thoughtful, daily living. Our hope is that as each print goes forth, it would not only bring colour to your walls and the depths of your soul.
On the global front, we believe - as part of conscience living - in using that which we have to build a socially just and a sustainable world. We have chosen to operate as a Not For Profit Organisation and to use to proceeds from all prints sale to help build the lives of orphaned and abandoned children in Kolkata, India. It is estimated that one-third of the world's poor live in India with around 67 percent of the population living below the poverty line and 100,000 children living on the streets of Kolkata alone. Kolkata's Tree Houses give love, care hope and an education to children who would otherwise struggle to survive in one of the poorest cities in the world.
It takes courage to live consciously. We hope that while you are here you can find that perfect something for your walls; something to inspire you, something that speaks to you as we work towards local and global social change.
